The Calm & Conscious Gift Guide

For thoughtful, last-minute shoppers who care about quality and sustainability.

Hi, it’s Emily, Rise Centered’s founder! We know how crazy December can be, from end of year deadlines to planning holiday gatherings, which is why I created the Calm & Conscious gift guide: to take some of the pressure off and help you find the perfect gifts for the people you love (and even yourself!). This guide features some of my favorite brands—small businesses, some local, all committed to quality materials and intentional living. I hope you enjoy it!

Alpyn Beauty – Based in Jackson, their moisturizer is a hydrating dream made with wildcrafted, sustainable ingredients.

Adalie Soap – I’m obsessed (and I mean obsessed) with their sugar scrub. Winters are so dry, and this leaves my skin feeling amazing. Their gorgeous, handmade soaps are crafted in small batches and make perfect gifts.

Piglet in Bed – The softest, most breathable linen sheets. When we first got linen sheets, my husband was like, “How much are we spending on sheets?!” But after a week of sleeping on them (as a hot sleeper), he was sold. We’ve tried what feels like every linen sheet company out there—from Amazon linen to Brooklinen and Parachute—and these last. They’re so comfortable, come in the best colors, and are the only set that hasn’t gotten holes.

MATE the LabelSuper comfy sweats made from 100% natural cotton. I practically lived in my first set during COVID, patching holes until I finally gave in and replaced them.

Sabah Shoes – These are the ultimate cozy, wear-anywhere shoes/slippers. They mold to your feet beautifully, and I can’t live without the shearling-lined pair in winter—they’re a cold-weather essential!

Sweet Tooth by Sarah Fennel – A stunning dessert cookbook that inspires cozy evenings in the kitchen. Sarah’s recipes have never led me astray, and her first cookbook does not disappoint!

360 Cookware – The ultimate nontoxic slow cooker. Most slow cookers out there contain harmful materials (even the ones that claim they don’t)—but not this one.

Farmhouse Pottery Essential Wooden Kitchen Utensils – Beautiful, handcrafted wooden utensils that are as functional as they are lovely. I use these every day, and they hold up beautifully.

East Fork – Timeless, handcrafted ceramics perfect for cozy dinners and morning rituals.

Sabai – Toxin-free, made-in-USA furniture that’s chic and sustainable. I’m loving their Bacana Armchair. After deep diving into the harmful chemicals in most of West Elm’s furniture, I’ve found much better options.

Rise Centered – Obvious but essential: A Himalayan salt sunrise alarm clock that’s functional, beautiful, and supports a calmer morning routine.

Estelle Colored Glass – Stunning, hand-blown glassware to elevate any hosting occasion. I have a few vintage colored glass candlestick holders that are my favorite, but these are a close second.

Big Dipper Wax Works Beeswax Candles – Natural, clean-burning candles that I have scattered all over my home. I’m very picky about light (no surprise there), and these smell incredible without the gross chemicals most scented candles have.

Cultiver Linen Napkins – I received some free linen napkins nearly 10 years ago while working in wine, and I’ve been a full convert ever since. Are paper napkins horrible for you and the environment? No. But linen napkins are so chic and elevate any meal.

Marea PMS Elixir – A natural, drinkable supplement that’s perfect for balancing hormones and easing PMS symptoms. As someone who had some serious emotional swings every month,  I’ve felt them ease with this. I’ve been loving it as part of my self-care routine.

Oura Ring – I am not a tracker- I can get obsessive so I actively try not to track things, but I originally got one to help track my cycle and honestly, I love it. I was definitely addicted to the app for the first two weeks, learning all of the metrics but now I check it once maybe twice a day and I love that it can monitor my stress levels. It helps me be more conscious of when I need to meditate or just take a true break.

Moon Juice – I’m obsessed with all their products, but I use their SuperHair formula daily. It’s a game-changer for stronger, healthier hair.

Bite Toothpaste – A chic and sustainable stocking stuffer. No more plastic! I love their charcoal flavor, and they’re perfect for traveling.

Kama Surfaces – Durable, eco-conscious outdoor surfaces that blend functionality with sleek design. (Small business, made in the USA, and woman-owned!)

Exped Duo Sleeping Pad – Okay, this may be made with plastic and performance fabrics, but it’s the most comfortable camp mattress ever. I’d sleep anywhere on this, and I’m convinced sleeping outside is one of the healthiest things you can do.
